I help people expand into their most authentic expression through writing, movement and reconnection to their bodies.
As a former award-winning journalist, my work honors the transformative power of the stories we hold within our bones. Stories can heal. And, sharing them is an act of liberation.
For years, much of my writing delved into the depths of the human experience. I often pierced the surface and gave space to our real, raw truth. My deep curiosity and sensitivity to details as a child bled into a professional writing career and now, into my path as a healer.
Since graduating cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in psychology, my writing has appeared in the Tampa Bay Times, Capital B, CNN, The Marshall Project and VOX. It has always been mission-driven and liberation-based, spotlighting tragedy, trauma and paths towards freedom, from a yearlong investigative series that exposed Georgia’s alarming maternal deaths rates to a piece on how Black Americans are healing.
The original vision that led me to leave full-time journalism for this work was to bring trauma healing to journalists and first-responders who are carrying the heavy of the world they protect on their shoulders. The wounded healer. I wanted to offer others all that I, at one point, needed.
Then, soon after launch, that vision expanded. I began offering one-on-one confidence mentorships to some of the volleyball athletes I coach and created workshops geared toward expanding into truth.
The work continues to grow, and it’s a deeply spiritual journey.
With me, complexity is welcome and nuance is cherished. I document life in all of its fullness. Here, we orient towards freedom by tapping into our inner fire, our inner voice, our inner artist as we release trauma, dissolve shame, cultivate safety within our nervous systems and expand into all that we're here to be. Some of my teachers include, but are not limited to, Molly Rose Curls Finotti and Adriana Rizzolo.
Our stories are powerful. You are powerful.
